Alternative Remedies
Alternative Treatments and Remedies for Psoriasis

Treating Psoriasis with Alternative Medicine

Treating psoriasis with acupuncture has worked for some who suffer with the disease, although at the moment there is no solid evidence of its effectiveness. The needles used in this alternative therapy method have also been known to irritate the skin and thus to encourage the development of psoriatic plaque.

Classic homoeopathy
As with acupuncture, there are also reports of successful treatment of psoriasis with homoeopathy. Like so many alternative therapies, there is a possibility that the success is due to the placebo effect – it has not been proven that homoeopathy is effective in the treatment of psoriasis (or anything else).

In some cases, a relationship has been found between wheat sensitivity (celiac or coliac disease) and psoriasis. For those with this autoimmune disease, it may be a good idea to avoid foods containing gluten protein (specifically gliadin) both during and after treatment.

Psychological factors

It is often the case that negative emotions can lead to a worsening of psoriasis. Types of treatment which lower stress or change one's attitude toward the disease can be beneficial in getting rid of psoriasis. Examples of possibly beneficial psychological interventions are meditation, autogenic training (a relaxation technique) and psychotherapy. Support groups for those who suffer with psoriasis can also be very helpful, not only because it provides a great opportunity to exchange information; it also helps one to know that there are many other people who also have the disease. Acceptance is a major factor with psoriasis, both personally and by others. Even for psoriasis sufferers who don't believe in alternative healing methods, the help provided by such methods can provide an indirect support during treatment.

THE proven natural remedy

The fangocur Curative Mineral Mask relies on the natural healing power of nature to treat psoriasis. This is not to say that common medical treatments for the condition are worthless, rather that the fangocur Curative Mineral Mask is a 100% natural product that has been proven as an effective remedy for psoriasis in a medical/balneological study conducted by the University of Vienna (Austria). You can rest assured that it works. To enhance your results, we recommend the fangocur Success Plan.

It cools, soothes the itch, improves the skin's metabolism and reduces inflammation.

The fangocur Curative Mineral Mask is an ideal way to address psoriasis – it deeply cleanses the skin, balances the metabolism and reduces inflammation. At the same time essential minerals and trace elements nourish the skin, and the unique blend of essential oils inhibits itching and encourages healing of the raised, red and scaly skin, also known as psoriatic plaques. It's best use the mask in the evening. Apply the healing clay and allow it to work for about 20 to 30 minutes – it should dry completely during this time. Next rinse off the healing clay with warm water, ideally using a fine-pored natural sea sponge. After rinsing off the healing clay, do not apply any sort of skin cream, oil or lotion. This is important as the goal is for the skin to self-regulate. Of course if you experience itching during the application, feel free to rinse off the clay before the recommended time. Repeat daily until the condition is resolved!

Tip: You can also use Bentomed from fangocur when you suffer with psoriasis. This helps to ensure that the toxins present in the digestive tract are passed in the stool and not through the skin. In this way, you support the healing of the psoriatic plaques along with the eczema related to psoriasis.

Proven effective in a study conducted at the University of Vienna in Austria

The Curative Mineral Mask (for psoriasis) from fangocur is not a "wellness" or spa product. Its effectiveness has been medically/balneologically recognised by the University of Vienna (Dr. Marktl, 2006). This natural health remedy has been thoroughly scrutinised – it has also been approved for use by the regional government of the province in which natural fango volcanic clay is produced (Styria, Austria).

An ideal combination: use Bentomed to help the body to naturally detoxify itself.

Combine the external application of healing clay with an internal cleansing using Bentomed from fangocur. It detoxifies the body from the inside, lessening the amount of impurities which must be released through the skin. For psoriasis, this combination greatly increases the effectiveness of the healing clay. Through the use of Bentomed along with the mask from fangocur, you help your body to eliminate poisons in your digestive system which would otherwise have to be processed by the skin.

Use our 100% natural soap to gently yet thoroughly clean sensitive psoriatic skin.

Psoriatic skin is especially sensitive to the chemical additives so common in normal soaps. You should wash morning and night (before applying the mask) using a soap especially developed for sensitive psoriasis-prone skin – the Curative Mineral Soap from fangocur. The all-natural Curative Mineral Soap deeply and gently cleanses the skin. There are no chemical additives. It's made especially for skin conditions like psoriasis from our well-known fango healing clay. This special soap helps to keep the skin from becoming dry, in contrast to other soaps or shower gels which tend to draw moisture from the skin. It's important that the skin maintains it's ability to hydrate naturally, protected by its own natural oils. The Curative Mineral soap encourages this natural balance.

The Curative Mineral Soap is the ideal addition to the Curative Mineral Mask (external) and Bentomed (internal) for those with psoriasis.
