An important source of omega-3 fatty acids is fish from the sea
Omega-3 fatty acids have not only been labelled the wonder cure for circulatory and heart conditions; they can also be beneficial in the treatment of skin problems like eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. Should you be getting more omega-3 fatty acids?

Omega-3 fatty acids cannot be produced by the body so they must be included in the diet. Omega-3 fatty acids are a group of unsaturated fatty acids which are an important part of the cell membrane as well as being a precursor for a variety of tissue-generated hormones, among them eicosanoids which play an important role in the immune system.

Omega-3 fatty acids have a positive effect on inflammation and strengthen the immune system.

An important source of Omega-3 fatty acids: saltwater fish.
