The chemicals in common toothpastes can cause inflammation and ulcers in the mouth
Remember: Everyday toothpaste are indeed inexpensive, but they can harm the lining of the mouth and negatively impact one's health

Modern dental care: daily use of the Mineral Toothpaste from fangocur, now with xylitol

Did you know that the chemicals contained in everyday toothpastes can cause inflammation in the mouth as well as oral ulcers? We would like to let you know why this is the case, and also give you more information on just how the harmful ingredients in common toothpastes can enter the body.

Chemicals in Everyday Toothpaste Can Harm the Body

Many remain unaware that the common toothpastes that are available at your local market contain a wealth of undesirable and even dangerous ingredients. Of course, after brushing we spit out the majority of the toothpaste, but unfortunately not all of it. Some of the toothpaste can be absorbed into the body via the lining of the mouth, and we also unintentionally tend to swallow a bit.

If one has a closer look at the contents that are printed on the outside of the toothpaste tube, one inevitably finds a whole palette of chemicals that can cause harm to the lining of the mouth and the body in general.

Triclosan is a chemical disinfectant and preservative. It is toxic to bacteria, so it can do harm to the health of the oral environment (there are also good bacteria).

Sodium lauryl sulphate is a foaming agent (tenside) that is also used in shower gels and shampoos. It is known to be an allergen and also can irritate the skin.

Parabens are synthetic preservatives which can cause allergic reactions, and they may also be carcinogenic.

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is an emulsifying agent that works to keep the consistency of the toothpaste uniform, ensuring that water does not run out when you open the toothpaste tube. Unfortunately it can also make the skin more permeable, meaning that toxic substances contained in the toothpaste can more easily pass through the lining of the mouth and enter the body.

Fluoride is frequently presented as a substance that prevents cavities. The fact is that it cannot be entirely ruled out that fluoride can be harmful to the body.

Why is it that everyday toothpastes contain such a cocktail of chemicals? The answer is simple: increased shelf life, perfect consistency, white colour, a nice foam and the most intensive cleaning possible.

Common Toothpastes Can Harm the Lining of the Mouth, Cause Inflammation and Ulcers in the Mouth

The results of using such aggressive substances in toothpastes are not limited to the mouth and throat, but that's where one most readily notices the effects. One consequence is oral swelling along with the development of ulcers, i.e. small swollen blisters, within the mouth. Many people wonder why they experience such inflammation in their mouths, and have no idea that the likely cause is the oral care products that they are using.

The Toothpastes from fangocur are 100% Natural

Our toothpastes contain exclusively high quality, natural ingredients that thoroughly clean the teeth while at the same time soothing and strengthening the gums. They are also gentle on the enamel of the teeth – this has been proven in medical research.

The toothpastes from fangocur are not white in colour, rather they are light brown. The consistency is not always perfect, and from time to time a little water can run out when you open the tube. Our toothpastes do not taste sweet. That said, the toothpastes from fangocur do contain the very best that nature has to offer.

NEW: fangocur Toothpastes Now Contain Xylitol – The Natural Cavity Fighter

More and more toothpastes nowadays are using xylitol as an anti-cavity agent. We completely avoid the use of fluoride in our toothpastes, and instead have opted to use all natural xylitol. It is a cavity fighting substance that is naturally collected from brich bark. Due to the natural methods used to harvest xylitol, it is quite expensive in comparison to fluoride – this is why the oral care industry tends to use fluoride to fight cavities.

Now is the time to start using a truly natural toothpaste. Oral inflammation and mouth ulcers are history, and you'll be using something that's safe for your body!
